First off I would like to say I've enjoyed a lot of your videos and they're very relaxing and fun and refreshing. But I have to object here. I don't care what the raccoon has done. He didn't deserve to die from a gunshot wound. He's one of God's creatures Brooke And he's trying to survive the only way he knows how just like all the other animals do. You could have captured him humanely and then took him to an animal sanctuary away from your property. How can you claim you love animals but the first time a wild animal threatens your livestock, tou decide the only way to get rid of the problem is to shoot him dead? Sorry and I know this is kind of tough criticism and I'm not trying to be a hater here, I'm not that way. But I just object to your easy, permanent solution.😱

Interesting show and awesome looking pizza but when you said you were putting it on parchment paper I knew that was a big no-no right there. You never ever use parchment paper when you're going to be cooking at a high temperature because it will burn the frick up. I found that out when I cooked it at a higher temperature on my sheet pan in my oven. It just turned brown and basically burnt.

I agree with you about getting the best foos for you in the buckets. Many companies seem to just concentrate on carbs in the bucket and then you have to buy #10 cans of protein which is real expensive especially since you can’t really reseal it if you don’t use it all in a short time. Making your own packs is the best way for me. You gotta boil water anyway. Thanks for the review.

Just wanted one to know that Nick the guy who built the big log house for his family. Is now working on the front pourch, got some of it on then he is working on the balconey! When the camera goes towards the field from the cabin see the little shed. He built this first to live in while he contructed the cabin. He has a wife and two kids. And after working all day he still does stuff with the family. The little A-frame out in the field is a good one. The inside is all done up too. One is not losing her edge, I have been thru change of life stuff a lot in me getting old. Today I came out of the kitchen and then fell in my bedroom. Not sure what happened this morning. I laded on my wight bench and am ok. Was up then went on down. I am still going to enjoy today! I google up Nick they guy who built the big log cabin and it finds him. The kids are little and they were helping their dad out today too! His wife will come out and visit him too. In the winter they all go after he is done working on the cabin sking! They make a jump and just go for it. He has to snowshoe out of there sometimes. He hand dug out all the footers and mixed up the concrete. It was all work. A while back he peeled up about 30 more logs. Paul in Ohio

Where is Dad?

So unless I'm mistaken when I click the link that takes me to the plans it's missing the section in the plans on how to build the actual toilet part? I don't see any mention of the 2x4 going across or anywhere in the diagram. I see nothing about dimensions or how to cut the plywood to fit or how to cut the toilet seat? I'm an absolute beginner at this and was really hoping to have it all explained. Am I missing something? I would love to try building this. Bear in mind I'm talking specifically about the shopping list and the cut list and everything underneath. Looks great and your videos are awesome.

I'm really enjoying your off-grid videos Excellent!! A couple of questions: With the outdoor toilet, will it eventually compost ? And why not just use a composting toilet? Also, re showers....I've taken many sun showers when camping in warm climates. How do you shower in cold climates? thank you!
